The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the food industry as foodservice business initially shrunk, retail business boomed and there was a lot of confusion about the virus and disease transmission. The frozen food industry has worked to answer important questions like: How do we protect workers from getting sick? What supplies and physical barriers do I need and what training do I need? How do we still keep the business fully operational? How do we deal with state and local regulatory agencies on COVID testing and quarantine protocols?
